Not a book but have to share.

Okay, my lovely fans, I haven't posted in 8 days. I have finished the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy. Once again I love the books, but this is not what I want to post about tonight.

Over the last few days I have been watching some of the newer movies released onto DVD. I have watched This is 40, Parental Guidance, Preacher's Daughter, and just finished only minutes ago, Zero Dark Thirty. I will review in order listed.

This is 40 - Funny movie. If you want a comedy relief this definitely one to watch. Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, even Melissa McCarthy is in it. Melissa doesn't have a big part, but she is very funny it this. Even her blopper at the end has you laughing on the floor.
Watching them argue was hilarious. Reminded me of my life, and I'm not even close to being 40 yet. I'm not even 30 yet. This movie is a must watch without kids, as it is rated R.

Parental Guidance - This movie will have you rolling on the floor in laughter through the whole movie. A movie about parents that over parent their kids to be kind of high achievers. Grandparents that raised their daughter in a less formal way, comes to take care of those children while parents are out of town. Funny to see those grandparents trying to do what the parents ask them to do with the children and not parent as they had years before. Coming to find that both ways can be effective if you follow through.
This movie for me shows how some people can do the over parenting and get it to work. They make kids follow a schedule to the "T" along with them getting good grades, attending private schools, having master instruments of some kind that is approved but parents. It also showed me that we can parent the same way our own parents parented us and still be effective.
I believe a parent should be there for their child in every aspect of their lives, but I don't believe in holding their hands for every little thing. Both my kids are independent and well behaved. I believe in spanking or swatting their behinds when it is something big, not beating them, but a smack or 2, no more. Some would say this is how your child learns to hit others, I say no, a child learns to do things from other kids either the same age or older. They look up to those that are around the same size as them. Maybe this movie can teacher parents that yes there are tons of ways to parent a child, no one parents the same so do not bash how another parent parents their child unless you know for sure those parents are abusing the child.

Preacher's Daughter - This movie I was not impressed with. It could be that I am not a religious person in the sense these people are in the movie. I follow a different religion, but my husband was told it was a good movie. So we rented it from the Redbox at our local rental place.
It follows a preacher's daughter, obviously, who ended up leaving her family and way of life behind. When she has to call home for help, and she moves back, it flashes back here and there to show how she ended up the way she had. Maybe if you are a religious family in the Christian faith this would be a good movie for you and your family, meaning older teens to sit with their parents and watch. There is drugs and bad language used to be forewarned.

Last but not least ...

Zero Dark Thirty - This movie is about the capture and killing of United States most wanted since the 9-11-01 attacks. I wouldn't say for me it was a great movie, at least not until the end part when they go in for the attack, but it was good. Following through to show what the people that are to be protecting the U.S. citizens, did to catch him. Maybe even just a thought of what might have happened, since we aren't really suppose to know what our government does for us. We only got the important part, which is that he was killed that night. I know for the safety of any and all Black Ops teams they can't give all away, but I would like to know more. As for the movie, it is a movie to go on the list to watch, but not a movie I would put on the top as a must definitely see.

Well I hope this makes up for not reading anything other than 50 Shades. I hope this gives you some ideas of movie to watch if you haven't already. Also, I rented all these movies from the Redbox. Thank you for reading.

So I know it has been about a week give or take since I last posted. I have been busy reading the Fifty Shades Trilogy. Though I still get on Facebook and looked through the downloads for the Kindle. Yum Yum! Who wants cookies? Cookie Indulgence

Okay, so I'm going through my Facebook today and click on one of the three pages I follow for free books and looks for yet another book to download and add to my ever growing, apparently not so much reading list on my kindle, then I come across a download for a book of nothing but cookie recipes.
Oh, how much I love baked goods. It is amazing I'm  not over 400 lbs, or diabetic. I probably should be since it that kind of stuff runs in my family. Nope this momma of 2 is only slightly over weight from the last baby and still haven't gotten around to losing the baby weight. I definitely haven't lost because I snack too much. I don't have time for that. I wish I had more time for exercising though. Running after my son in pre-k and making sure I am home in time for my daughters teacher every Tuesday or heading to play groups that the program my daughter is in has. Doctor appointments, errands that need to be done, house that needs cleaned. What do you think I would rather be doing besides that? Baking cookies for my little ones. My kids love cookies. We don;t buy them very often, but when we do you better watch out.
So I found this book, haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but there over a 150 recipes for cookies. My favorite thing to do is make the cookie dough and then spread into a cake pan and make bars.

If you want a recipe book that is all about cookies then you need to download Cookie Indulgence: 150 Easy Cookie Recipes. Follow this link http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009AUC7ZM?tag=bbkh-20.

I got it for free on Amazon, but that doesn't mean it will stay free. Get it now before you have to pay for it.

Thank you for reading. Questions, comments, and suggestions on books let me know. Once again thank you for reading.

Land of Fudge - Easy and Delicious Fudge

YUMMY! That was all I could think when I seen this book on one of the blogs and pages I follow on Facebook. (The main place I get all of my free kindle downloads.)

I may not be a fan of cooking, but I love baked goods. When I seen the free kindle download for this book I clicked through and downloaded right away. My suggestion is click the link I post and make sure it is still free and get it for yourself.

Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AHFWPFQ?tag=bbkh-20, it is called Easy and Delicious Fudge: Traditional and Specialty Fudge Recipes.

Enjoy this book if are so much into baked good and especially if you are into making fudge and need some old way and new ways to make fudge.

Thank you for reading and enjoy the reads that you dive into especially if you have found them from reading about it on here. Once again thank you!

The world of herbs and healing - Healing Herbs and Spices

So I was searching through the pages I follow on Facebook for some more books to add to my over 1,600 books I already have on there that I need to read. Every now and then I find cookbooks or some other type of book that catches my interest.
I don't care much to cook, as writing my passion, not cooking. I am not out to better myself to become some renowned chef. If it has recipes in which might catch my interest I'm all for it.
This kindle download I found is all about herbs and spices and how they help with healing. Now that I am all for. Anything that I heal naturally with things in my home that I don't have to take a pill for or give my two babies stuff that could harm them in some other way while making whatever is wrong at the time better, I will try before I will try something that is just so expensive.

The book which I have on my kindle is Healing Herbs and Spices: Health Benefits of Popular Herbs & Spices Plus Over 70 Recipes To Use Them In.

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but it looks like it could give lots of helpful on how each herb and spice helps with healing and what they help heal. Plus the added benefit of it having over 70 recipes to all the herbs and spices with.

I downloaded it for free from Amazon. If you are reading this. Click thru the link above and check to see if it is still free. Hopefully it still is for you. I am so glad I downloaded it for myself.

Thank you for reading and you're continued support. Enjoy the reads I posts. Have an idea of a book for me share it. I may just read it! Once again thank you.

Fifty Shades - Only Just started

Okay, so I just started reading Fifty Shades of Grey, again for the twentieth time. (I love this trilogy.) I figured since it is a popular set of books that either people are praising or bashing, I would put into what I think. I will only discuss what I have read so far. (I'm on chapter 9)
The reason I love this trilogy so much isn't because of all the kinky stuff that happens in the book. What I really love is that the main character that this book follows, Anastasia Steele, is almost just like only a few years younger. Everything about her reminds me of myself, except for the fact that I have two children so my body isn't what it use to be. Although, the only difference about our physical image is that she has blue eyes and mine are hazel. Everything else from the brown hair to the clumsiness is me.
When you have a book you can relate to it makes all the better. It doesn't matter if it is poorly written. It doesn't matter that your life isn't quite the same as the character(s) in the book, I certainly did no marry some multi-billionaire. If I had I probably wouldn't be sharing this right now with you.

So just because E. L. James may have, in some peoples opinion, written her very first novel ever poorly, doesn't mean that people aren't going to like.

1. You have to have a taste for romance novel. (Which I do)
2. You have to have an open mind about BDSM. (It's not all bad. It is not consider rape as long as it is between 2 consenting adult. If you don't consent to it then it is considered rape. Ana did so get over it.)
3. Just because things don't sound right to you doesn't mean it isn't good for someone else.

Please stop judging those of us who choose to read what we like. It isn't a banned book. Personally, I don't know why a book should be banned in the first place. If it is about something that someone doesn't want the whole world knowing, then it is probably something that shouldn't have been done in the first place.
I am an avid reader. If it I read the synopsis and it sounds good, I'm going to buy that book just to read it.
I also enjoy this book because it makes me laugh. It may not be some comedian that wrote this, but the way it is described the way characters do thing, or the faces and thoughts they have makes me laugh. If a writer can write a book to keep me interested, I'm all for that.

Now that i have put my the first of my many two cents into this book, I must end it here for now. My house looks as if a tornado, known as my two kids, ripped through it. I must straighten up before my lovely daughter's teacher arrives for her weekly visit.
Thank you for reading. Leave comments if you would like. I will also take any ideas for books to read. Once again thank you.

What is next on the reading list

Okay, so I'm not sure exactly what I am going to read next. I was thinking maybe 50 Shades trilogy, even though I have already read it probably 10 times, if not. There is that and I want to refresh myself with the Crossfire novels. So I think I will start rereading both of those. I believe I will start with 50 Shades only because I want to finish up the Crossfire series just before I receive my pre-ordered book of the last one in the series.
If you have already read any of these books, what do you think of? If you have not read them and are choosing not to, please I do not want to be scrutinized about what I like to read. Also if you have not read any of these books, don't give me your input, especially if you're not ever going to read them. Those of that care to actually read know what it about. You can't go by what everyone tells you. I have my opinion of the books and I love reading them. Others may read them and don't like them. That is their OPINION! If you haven't and don't plan to read them please refrain from telling us you're opinion only because you do not know what the books are about or what all is in them.

So my reading list next is 50 Shades of Grey followed by the rest of the books in the trilogy and then I will hit the Crossfire series with ending the last book I have as of now just as I receive the next/last book of the series.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comments are welcome. No rude comments please. I will not have my readers offended in anyway. Thank you.

Glass Towers Trilogy

Okay, my lovely fans. I just spent 3 days reading 3 books that are part of the Glass Towers Trilogy. I have to say since it took me three days to read them that I was totally engrossed in this trilogy. To find myself wrapped up in mind of a character like Danielle Austen and struggle with her with the love of her life, Harrison Towers.
Book 1 is Champagne Showers, in which Danielle starts off with the final signing of divorce papers to her ex-husband and travels to stay a to the coastal area where her parents live and on the beach she has her first meet with the infamous Harrison. A year and half later she is designs and decorates his new office/penthouse location. It all turns upside down when she runs into a long time family family friend of the Harrison's family and she tries to push Danielle away from Harrison.
I loved every minute of reading this book and I would read it again. I kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I say if you are a romance reader and like the romance mysteries this one is for you.
I bought from www.amazon.com for $2.99. I would say it is the best $2.99 I have ever spent on a book for my Kindle. Here is the link to   Glass Towers: Champagne Shower.

The next book in the trilogy is Glass Towers Shattered. If you read the first one you will have to read this one as well. At the end of the first one it leaves wanting to know what happened. Does Danielle ever get to be with Harrison or does the snake of a woman that terrorizes Danielle steal him away.
I won't go too much into because I would give a lot away. I would not want to spoil anything for those who are going to read it. I would not want that done for me. I can say that when Danielle felt terror I felt it with her. When she was happy I was happy with her. Definitely didn't take me long to read this one.
I have to say I was so engrossed on the day I was reading it that while my daughter was staying with her grandparents and my son was at preschool I got so caught up that I thought I was late getting him. Lucky for me though it was time to pick him up, and I wasn't late.
I also bought this from Amazon.com for only $2.99. Another well spent $2.99. It is the Kindle edition. Here is the link to Glass Towers Shattered.

Now for the final book in the trilogy, Glass Towers Surrendered. If you have read the other two then this is a must read. As you will need to find out for sure if Danielle and Harrison get married. You also will want to find out if the snake of a woman gets her way. You want to know the conclusion of the story.
Once again I won't go into too much, but I started it last night and read the first maybe four chapters, before my kindle died on me and I had to wait until this morning to get back into it. Since my two children were once again staying at their grandparents, I opted to grab my kindle and stay in bed until I finished the book. I just couldn't put it down. If the kindle wouldn't have died on my last night I would have tried my hardest to stay awake all night until I finished, but as luck would have it, when the kindle died I realized I had to get sleep. Trying to stay up all night after getting up to take my son to preschool chase after my almost two year-old until their Me-ma, what my mom and their grandmother likes to be called, came and picked them up to go stay there for the night.
Another must read in my book. Yet another one I bought for my kindle via amazon.com. I paid another $2.99 for this one as well. Here is the link to Glass Towers Surrendered.

I want to thank you for enjoying my first post on a few books I read. I will try to keep all the different trilogies and series books together with each of their own if I get them read as quickly as this I did this set. Normally if something interest me I won't put it down until I have read the entire book.

If you have read this trilogy and have an comments as to how you liked/disliked the book feel free to leave some. If you have book you recommend feel free to leave a comment of that. I am more than happy to hear of any books that are interesting to others.

Once again thank you for reading. I do hope you will follow my posts and continue reading!

Introduction

My name is Jessica, I am a stay-at-home mom with two very rambunctious kids, one boy soon to be 5, and one girl soon to be 2. We live in a small town with my loving husband and father of my kids, who works very hard for us to have a semi-decent life.
I am proud to say I am working on my very first fiction writing and trying to get it finished and send it to a Lit. agent or publisher. (I will let you know how that goes.)
I spend my days taking care of my kids, but in the evenings after they have gone to bed and I can't seem to fall asleep, I pull out either a book I have purchased or turn on my Kindle and look for something to read.
Warning most of what I will post will be Romance, or Young Adult/teen books. If I find a cook book or any other book that interest me I will post that too. If you have any suggestions on a book you think I might find to my liking let me know. I would be more than happy to check it out. I am always up for a good read.
After I read something I will post and let you know what I think. I give only my opinion about whatever book I read. Remember these are my opinions. It is how I feel about a book, not for someone to tell me that I can't say what I think about a book. I won't tell anyone who reads this that they have to like or hate a book I liked or hated. It is MY PERSONAL OPINION of the books I read and share with you.
Please refrain from being rude to myself and others that may like or dislike a book that is posted on here. Just because I or someone else likes/hates a certain book doesn't mean you have to, but that also doesn't mean you have to be rude to someone who doesn't agree with your opinions of the whatever book it may be.
Thank you for reading. If you like books as much as I do then this may be the blog to follow. I will also try to get links to the books I buy from mainly B.A.M., which is where I buy most of my books, or from Amazon.com which is where I download all my books for my Kindle. Once again thank you for taking the time to stop and read my blog and I hope you enjoy.
