Oh no... Not you!

So it only took me about an hour give or take to read Not You - by Lisa Scott, another of the 5 short stories in Flirt! This one kept me laughing almost right from the start.

This takes place where the last one leaves off, which you have to read that to know more about that. Carly, female lead, is at a charity event when she is looking around at all the guys that are taken and hunting for a single guy to meet. She is getting crabbier with each couple she sees. Eventually, she goes out on the patio to get some fresh air and that is where she meets a man. Mind you she has been drinking and drinking a lot. She doesn't ask the guy his name, but does invite him to go home with her. She lets her friend know she is leaving and meets him in lobby.

They go to Carly's home for what they think is a one night stand giving the other fake names. Carly tells the guy her name is Samantha, and the guy tells her his name is Clark. The next morning she wakes up and hour before she has to be at her mother's wedding prep luncheon. She kicks Clark out.

When she arrives only minutes after she was to have been there she meets her new step-brother. When she the guy walking with the man to be her step-father she gives the fake name of Clark to her mother. Her mother tells her no his name is Rob.

They don't inform their parents that the already kind of know each or which way they know each other.

So to know where all this goes you will have to download Flirt! 5 Romantic Short Stories by Lisa Scott to be able to read Not You, which you can download at amazon.com.

Just so you know each story in this book seems to pick up just about where the last left off. So far they are good short stories. They kind of remind me of some that I have written, but mine aren't romantic ones. I hope if you decide to read this book of short stories that you enjoy it as much as I do.

Next up story three of Flirt!, which is Desperately Seeking Cupid. Thank you for reading. Comments, questions, recommended reads welcome!
