Errr... Growling mad!

Okay so I have a kindle, if you haven't already figured that out, and lately it has been giving me problems. When I plug in the UBS port to charge it my stupid computer says it doesn't recognize the thing. Then it tells me That it can't open a book because of something or other and I should delete it and go download it again.

Yesterday since I had ball games for my niece to attend I decided to charge it. Well it took until I was out of the house to get it to even start charging. Really?! If I even bumped it it would quit charging and I would have to go through the processes of moving the UBS cord around until it decided to want to charge again. Anyone else have this problem? I have the kindle that is $69. Of course when I bought it it was $79 and then 6 months after I bought the thing they dropped the price to $69. That was almost 2 years ago that I bought it.

The thing irritates me more than my children or my husband do. That is bad if something irritates me that much. All I want to do is charge the thing so I can read all the books I have downloaded on it. It might over 1,700 books on there, but eventually I will get through them all.

Okay, lovely readers I am done venting about my kindle and should be able to read some tonight. My lovely husband starts his new job tomorrow so I will have a little more time to read, but don't count on too much this week. My beautiful daughter turns 2 on Tuesday, we also have picnics on Wednesday and Thursday, shopping at some point this week to get things for my baby girls party which is on Saturday. I might be luck if I get the one I have been reading for the last week or so finished before the end of the week.

Have a good first week of July. I will be reading when I can and more so after this coming week. Fingers crossed this week goes smoothly and I will still be alive, metaphorically, at the end of it!

Getting there!

Okay, so I last posted 6 days ago on the 23rd the morning after I finished my last read. Sorry, I haven't finished the next book yet. I have a niece, a nephew, and a cousin that plays t-ball, plus a nephew that plays minor b little league and they have had their tournament games these last 6 days and the only time I have had time for reading is after the kids are in bed which is between 8 and 9 pm EST.

All the running has made me so tired that I only read 1 or 2 chapters a night, which is what is taking me so long. Good thing is though tomorrow is the last t-ball tournament game in which my niece and cousin play against each other. Up next will be Fall soccer season. My lovely son will be playing. Still waiting to know when it will all be starting. I know not until at least August I think.

I promise I will soon finish the book I have been reading. As I type the kindle is charging. It was suppose to be charging all day, but the thing is being a pain and didn't want to charge so I may not get to read any tonight. It took until some time after 4 pm EST, while I was out at a ball game, to start charging.

I want to thank you readers for your patience in between each book. With 2 kids home for the summer it gets busy. It was easier with one of kids at home, but 2 not so much. My kids, while they are well-behaved, they are crazy little monsters, but I love them to pieces. We all know summers get busy anyway so some of you may not have time to read this blog for what good reads are there. I am also reading to my little munchkins for the summer reading program at our local library. I think I could review those as well since they would be good for your kids if any of you have any.

I must warn you though, I have a 5 year-old son who loves dinosaurs and want to be a Paleontologist when he grows up. A lot of the kids books I might end up reviewing will be about dinosaurs. Maybe you have young children and have a recommendation about some books I could read to my kids for their summer reading program. Mine are 5 and 2, well almost 2. My little lady will be 2 on the 2nd of July. She isn't picky yet and hasn't had a big interest in anything like her older brother yet. Nothing other than dancing anyway.

Once again I want to thank you for your patience and I will have a review of the adult book I have been reading in the next few days. Maybe some kids books in the next day or so too. Thank you!

It will get my through with some... Bad Medicine.

Finally, after 3 maybe 4 days of reading Bad Medicine by J.D. Faver, I finished it this morning before getting ready for the day. Looking at the dots that show the chapters on the kindle it didn't look very long, but it seemed to take forever to get through chapters. Not because it was boring, because it wasn't really all the boring when there was plenty of adventure type suspense. I think is was more that I was getting interrupted, by my lovely children that is.

Anyway, so Chloe Palmer, main female character, has been away from Port Isabel for 7 years. She comes home for her father's funeral. That is where she runs into her old flame, Rafael Solis. That is also when he finds out that Chloe has a daughter out of wedlock named Lacey.

When the will is read Chloe finds she is now the owner of her dad' shrimping boat. She also is back into a relationship with Raffy. Raffy, the local sheriff, lets Chloe know he will find her father's murderer. Everything is fine for a little while until Chloe decides she wants to help with the investigation. She take a job at the local fishermen and shrimpers bar.

That is where she runs into and old classmate that always has guys flanking him. His name is Manuel Cruz. He wants Chloe to work for him.

Do you want to know what happens with Chloe and Raffy? So you want to know if Chloe goes to work doing whatever it is that Manny wants her to do? To find out what happens you will need to download you copy of Bad Medicine by J.D. Faver. This is the first in the series.

You can get more info on the author and the books at www.jdfaver.series.com, on Twitter @JDFaverauthor, You can like her on Facebook and on Pinterest.

Back at in a few.

Okay lovely readers, I got my kindle working again. I have been working on my own writing for the last couple of days. I have only been editing what I have so far. It might only be a Prologue and 9 chapters, but that is okay. I have been slowly working on it for the last year and few months. i would like to finish it before Christmas, but we will see how that goes. I have a few ideas sitting on paper and even a few on my phone. Just editing to make things make a little more sense. Also waiting for the ideas of how to interlope the ideas I have jotted down to come together with the rest of the story.

I will still be reading the book I have been waiting to read while my kindle was being a pain. I want to thank you for understanding when I don't get back to right away with the next book like most of them.

Thank you for reading!

I have a need to smash something.

Okay so after I finished the lost book on my kindle I did start another one to find it was the third book in a series, so I went to see about the first one and I already had it so I have located it on my kindle and opened it. I read the Prologue and the first 5 pages or so of chapter one, then I put it up to go visit my mom who was in the hospital having surgery. Then last night I went to read it and found it opened to the third book in the series again and not the first one.

In all that I put it up for a little bit and worked on my own book for a little bit. Go me I edited I think five pages of the first chapter of my book, I have 9 chapter written, but not finished yet!

Once I get my kindle working properly I will get back to reading the book I have been trying to read. Sorry if I take a while to get to it. I don't know why my kindle is being being a pain and loading and then not loading. It is driving me nuts. I have them all on the computer too, but I find it hard to relax and want to read that way.

So until I get the kindle working again I will be working on my book. Right now i am just trying to edit it a little. Making sure I don't leave anything important out in the live of my character. I hope someday it will be on amazon.com available for download, and sitting on book shelves of all the popular book store!

Thank you all for being patient while waiting for the next review of whatever book I happen to be reading at the time. If you have any comments or questions, even a suggestion of a book leave it in the comment box below.

It is always... Hazrads of Hunting while Heartbroken

Okjay, so I have to say I am somewhat disappointed with The Hazards of Hunting While Heartbroken by Mari Passananti. I am more disappointed with the ending. The rest of it was enthralling.  I can kind of compare to Zoe, not completely, but kind of.

So Zoe Clark is a headhunter, a person that helps people in the legal profession find jobs. Her boss, she calls crazy, or a nut case. Her boss is always yelling at the worker. She has her 2 best friends Angela and Kevin. Angela works at Vogue, in the shoes department, and Kevin is some kind of political adviser. Zoe and Kevin live across the hall in a crap NYC apartment and Angela live a few blocks away in a better apartment.

One day she was comes in after dealing with a clients personal problem to find flowers on her desk and a card from someone in the building across the street and 1 floor up. She waits all day to see this guy. On the card it asks her if she would like to have drinks and his number for there. Her work friend Marvin goes across the street to find out who it might be. He comes back telling her that his name is Oscar Thornton. He is in advertising.

So Zoe calls him and from there they start going on dates.

Do you wish know what happens to them? Do you need to know if they stay together? If they get married? Check out The Hazards of Hunting While Heartbroken - Mari Passananti. I got my copy on the kindle for free from amazon.com. Check it out and see if it is still free. If you like the book you can find her blog at www.maripassanantibooks.com or follow on twitter @MariPassananti

Thank you for reading!

I want us to be... Legally Wed

I have to say dear readers, that this book I just finished reading was funny on all levels. In my opinion that is. Legally Wed - by Ciara O'Neill had me laughing with every page turn. I downloaded it on my kindle and you can get you copy at amazon.com.

I don't think I have read a funnier book than this one. The end was the greatest, but since it is the end I won't spoil it for you. That would be so wrong on every level for my fellow avid readers.

I will tell you that it is not a raunchy romance. The author didn't go into much detail, but it is good nonetheless.

The characters are Mia Lombard and Max Dylan. Max is a partner of a huge finance company that is based in England. He is from the States. Mia is part of his team and a big player with most of his clientele. Max finds his work visa is about to expire and it had not been put in for renewal. The only loophole in getting around for him not to go to the States side until he can get it renewed is to get married.

That is Mia comes into play. She throws out a couple of names for him, but doesn't want anything to do with any of those girls. Finally it is suggested that Max and Mia get married to each other since she is unattached. With that they have a wedding of the two of them just before his visa expires.  They realize that they have to stay married for 3 years for it to be considered legal.

Want to know if they stay married? Or do they get divorced? Find out by going and downloading the book. You can also find out more about the UK author by going to her website ciaraoneill.com. You can also find her twitter handle on there as well. Now onto the next read. Please remember to be patient while I am reading, taking care of family, and writing my own book.

Thank you for reading. Questions, comments, and recommendations welcome. Just leave them in the comment box below. Once again thank you!

Singing in... A pile of clean up.

My lovely readers, if you're out there, I might not have as many reads for you like I have been. At least not until after my dear husband finds a job and goes back to work. Believe me it isn't fun with him here all the time. I love him to death, but all day, every day, I just want to pull my hair out.

I am, however, reading a book as of right now. It is called Legally Wed - by Ciara O'Neill. Try and be patient while I slowly have to read my books as of right now. Now if you want to get to this read before I finish it then you can find it on amazon.com. I got mine from there and I got it for free. Not sure if it is still free, but it is worth it if it is.

Keep watching for the next one as soon as I can. Thank you for reading!

If when we are thirty and we aren't married... Let's make a Marriage Pact

A marriage pact? What a crazy thing. But then I think again and well, if I had been like these characters I might have do it too. Being that I am already married, well, I don't need a marriage pact. As for this book well, I guess when you're a little Southern belle with a very hot guy friend in college and he says he won't be ready to marry until he is thirty, and you are both drunk at a bar, well, I can see how that would go. I would be saying yes too. I am not claiming to be a Southern belle either. I am far from it, being for the good ole Keystone State.

M.J. Pullen did a wonderful job with this book. It took me a while only because we were busy all weekend and when my dearly beloved husband called off work on Monday, taking a person/sick day, his area boss stopped by to give him his person affects from work that were there because the company he has worked for the last five years closed their doors. This was out of the blue. It had been talked about, but they just decided to send everyone home with possibly no hope of having their jobs and no word if they will get their last pay check.

So after some time of dealing with a few personal things and trying to not be bothered that he is home all day long annoying me and watching every move I make, I finally finished reading the next book on my list of kindle books.

The Marriage Pact - M.J. Pullen was a good read. It starts out in Austin, Texas in April of 2004. The is where you will meet Marci Thompson. She is a temp worker at a firm, and has been a temp there for about nine months. That is where she met Doug Stanton. He is partner in the company. He is also married to his high school sweetheart. It was late one night that Marci was working with him and they were alone and she kissed him. They then started a relationship. It had been going on for some time.

It was on her thirtieth birthday when her best friend from college, Jake Stillwell, emailed her a photocopied picture of the pact they made a few years before in a college bar one night. She started to panic, thinking that her long time friend really meant this pact.

A few weeks later Marci was broken hearted and ran home from Austin, TX to her home town of Atlanta, GA.  She had called Jake to come out and get her, which, he did without question. At Marci's sister's wedding the fell into the plan to marry.

Do you want to know if Marci and Jake get married? Then go to amazon.com and download the book and read for yourself. I promise you will like the ending. It could be that it turns out that Doug comes crawling back to her. You never know. there are a few twists and turn to get to the end and be happy. If they end up happy that is.

Thank you for reading. Keep watch for the next read. Not sure when that will be. I would like to break up my time and focus some on my own book. Please feel free to leave comments, if you have read the book, questions for me are welcome, and I will take any recommendation on any books to check out. Once again thank you!

Dreaming of you with.. Pieces of Dreams

Yesterday after eating dinner with my family I pulled out the kindle of a week, give or take a day or two, and started reading the book I opened just before I put it up to reread the CrossFire novels again before I got the newest of them. It was the next e-book on the list of the 1,775 that are sitting on my kindle. Some are books I have in collections that I have already read a long while ago before starting this blog. Maybe I will reread those eventually to remind myself of why I put them in the collection I did and let you know how good they were.

Let me remind you I have read at least a couple thousand books. I read as much as I can. I also write when ideas come to me. At some point I am going to take a break for awhile so I work on my own writing. Someday I hope everyone can read what I have been working on for such a long time. It has been a dream since I was 14 and to think I am 29 and still haven't gotten it done.

As for Pieces of Dreams - Jennifer Blake, well, I not so sure. I liked it. Can't say I am head-over-heels in love with the story, but it was okay. I read it from say about 6:30 p.m. and when i finished it was 12:10 a.m and that is in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. Regardless of where some of the info on the blog tells you I am. It might have not taken me long to read it, but sometimes I just wanted to throw my kindle. Not because I was mad at something in the story either.

I finished just so I knew where the story went. I prefer stories that keeps me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out where the story will go. This one didn't keep me on guessing so much. It did make me interested in knowing how ladies that end up with someone who has a twin brother, mainly identical twin brother, how they tell the twins apart. Especially, when one pretends to be the other.

In this story Amelia Bennington, Melly for short, is to be married to Caleb Wells in only a few short weeks. She is working on a friendship quilt with her four best friends. None of her other friends are married if there are they are now widows. So her aunt brings in a kitten and puts it in the middle of the quilt, a tradition that if you put a cat in the middle of the friendship quilt, and first person the cat goes to is the next person to marry and the next man that walks through the door will be the one the lady marries. After Melly's aunt sticks the kitten in the middle of the quilt the other girls that aren't married or not getting married start to call the kitten, but in the end the kitten goes to Melly.

The next man to walk through the door is Caleb, or so she thinks. She runs over to him and gives him a big kiss in front of her friends, just then she hears her name from her intended, Caleb. That is when she realizes that she is most definitely not in the arms of Caleb, but in fact is in the arms of his twin brother, Conrad.

Do you have interest in knowing where the story goes from here? The you can go to amazon.com and search for Pieces of Dreams - Jennifer Blake and download it for your kindle. Not sure where else you can find it. She does have a website www.JenniferBlake.com also you can find her on @JenniferBlake01 on twitter. She is also on Facebook.

Thank you once again for reading. The next one will be a few days away. Busy weekend ahead of fun with my family. All questions, comments and recommendations are welcome. Once again thank you!

Yummy! You can give some Crossfire any day!

As you may know by now from all these posts I have posted, that I am a romance novel enthusiast. I love any good romance i can get my hands on. Recently I had been introduced by the erotic romance, thanks to the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy - by E.L. James. Well, in the midst of the trilogy becoming a huge hit in the U.S. I started following pages on Facebook once I read it. Some of the information I gathered from some of those pages is what to read after Fifty Shades. Well, one of those books happened to be some books Sylvia Day. The first being Bared to You. I came to find after reading one that there was another one. I bought the 1st one at my local Kmart. I ordered and preordered the second and third one from BookAMillion.com. I just received my shipment on Tuesday. I finished it today just before my dinner finished cooking.

The titles of the books are as follows; Bared to You, Reflected in You, and Entwined in You all by Sylvia Day. They are all CrossFire novels. If you like the the Fifty Shades Trilogy then you will like the CrossFire Novels. All three of them, hopefully soon all four of them. Which clearly there will be a fourth from what the very last thing she says at the end of Entwined in You.

If you love Ana Steele and Christian Grey, then you will definitely love Eva Tramell and Gideon Cross. Same country different coast. Ana and Christian made me love Portland, OR and the whole state of Washington, which for me is clear across the country on the west coast. Eva and Gideon made me fall in love with NYC, and even painted me a picture of what NYC looks like, since even in my twenty-nine years of living in PA, I have never been to NYC.

So if you haven't read any of the novels yet let me fill you in a little. Only on the first one though. I can only give so much to you, my lovely readers, to make you want to go grab the books yourself and read them. That is the point of this blog anyway.

So lovely Eva and her best friend, Cary, have just moved from San Diego, CA after Eva finished college and started her new job with an advertising agency that is based in the CrossFire building. The evening before she starts her new job she decides to time how long it would take for her to walk from her new apartment to her place of work and ride the elevator up to the twentieth floor where the advertising agency is located.

That is the first time she meets Gideon. Eva is helping a lady to pick up the thing that fell out of her purse when it was knocked off her arm, when she is leaning over in her crouch position on the floor to grab a nickel she comes face-to-face with Gideon's foot. she leans back and looks up at him and ends up on her butt.

The next few days she helps her boss work on a campaign ad that they will present to the company the is in need of the ad. When the day comes her boss asks her to join him since she is only an assistant she doesn't need to attend the meetings. He boss, Mark wants her to go with him, so she does. That is when she finds out where Gideon works. He pulls her aside after the meeting to have a talk with her. that is when he lets her know he wants to see her. She tells him no, but do you think Gideon gave up?

Well, if you want to know where their relation goes. How it develops, then you will have to get all the books and find out for yourself. Believe me you will love them as much as I do. I forewarn you though, they are erotic romance novel. If it is not your scene to read those then they won't be for you, but if you like that kind of novel then it is a definite read for you.

Thank you for reading. On to the next read. comments, questions, and recommendations welcome!

It is all about... Life, Love, and a Polar Bear Tattoo.

I really didn't have a fun title for this one. I have to say I when I pulled this book up on my kindle I wasn't expecting it to be good at all. I sat there wondering where could a story go about a polar bear tattoo. I thought how could this book be any good at all. I have to say I was wrong about Life, Love, and a Polar Bear Tattoo - by Heather Wardell. It is a good book. I can't say great, but it is very good.

In the beginning Candice drop off her husband, Ian, at the airport for him to travel overseas for a project of building homes and schools in Bangladesh. After he departs she heads to work at a interior design company, she is not a designer though. When she get there she gets informed by her boss that they have a rush job to be done in shorter time than what they normally do work. Her boss, Lou, asks her to meet the client and help out in the beginning until she has completed the research part of everything.

In the meeting she finds the newest client to be an old flame from college, Kegan. It had been ten years since she has seen him. Some old feelings start to creep in. She was to be using the time while Ian was away to think about their marriage. Since Ian parents had been killed a little while before at Christmas time out getting her Christmas present Ian hasn't been the same.

Candice starts spending a lot of work hours and some out of work hours especially after she gets her phone call from her doctor informing her that she in fact did not have cancer as they had though she might. She even changes her whole look and gets a tattoo.

Where does her relationship Kegan go? Does everything get worked out with her husband? Does she choose to go with Kegan or stay with her husband? What happened when her husband was away?

To find out the answers you will have to read it for yourself. You can download it to you kindle at amazon.com, which is where I got mine for free. I can't say that it is still free, but you can see if it is. And you can get it on the author's website,  http://heatherwardell.com/.

I enjoyed this book, so I hope you do as well. I will be reading the Crossfire novels next. The next book is will be released soon if it hasn't already and I am going to reread them again while I wait for the one I ordered a few months back before release.

I want to thank you for reading. Any and all comments, questions, and recommendations welcome! Thank you!
