I will do ... Anything You Ask

Finished another kindle book last night, well this morning really, but anyway. The last one I read was an good book. Short but good. Kind of funny and sad at the same time. The book is called Anything You Ask by Lynn Kellan. She did a wonderful job with this story.

It is about a woman is lost her husband due to a tragic accident of him fallen through rotten boards in their barn and having to be rushed to the hospital only to have a massive heart attack on the way claiming his life. Months later after her husband left her and their twin boys with a pile of debt she asks for his brother to come home. Only his brother is what you think. The brother is actually deaf. Not something you read much about in a romance.

Most romance novel, book, whatever type of work it is, have handsome males that are rich. The women are usually really beautiful and have something other than debt that they have to work through.

I also love that this book is set in the country land of PA. In fact the place it is set in is actually about 45 mins to maybe 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic and the way traveled from where I live. I actually have family that lives in the town the main women character works in. In fact my aunt is an actual professor at the same college this character teaches at. That could be one of the reason I like this work so much.

I will never claim to be a true country girl. Camo and cowboy/girl boots don't make you a country boy or girl either. I like camo things, but choose not to wear or have it most of the time. I love cowboy/girl boots. I have found a pair that I would really love to have, but don't really have the money for. I love riding horses, but in no way does that make me a country girl. I pretty sure some one could live on a farm and still not be considered country. I actually prefer the city life. I love clubbing even though I don't have the money to do so and I have my 2 kids so they come first. I would rather live on the outskirts to a big city than live in the country.

Anyway Lynn a lovely job on her bringing this love story to life.

Danielle lost her husband to a tragic accident and heart attack. What she hadn't known until he was gone that he left her with a pile of debt and a broken down farm that would soon go under if she didn't figure out some way to get help so it could bring in money. She turns to her late husband's brother.

Hale Cooper left the farm 6 years before when the barn on the family barn caught fire. His father disowned him. When he left he took with him some secrets. Danielle had kept in contact with him. Texting him news when things happened. Due to him being deaf he couldn't really talk on the phone even with his hearing aid in his left ear. She had sent him a text saying she needed help. He dropped everything in Oklahoma and rushed back home to her to find the family farm in disrepair. That is the first time he meet his two young nephews. He figures to get what he wants and to get her out of debt they should marry for the next 6 months. What she doesn't know is the secrets he carries into the marriage with him.

Will Hale ever  reveal the dark secrets he carries to Danielle? Will she fall in love with Hale or at the end of 6 months will she leave him with the farm he wants?

You will have to read Anything You Ask by Lynn Kellan to find out.
